How to Get Mounts in Anime Soulborn
Unlock travel without dumping the souls you still need for pets and hero nodes.
The official Anime Soulborn description lists mounts in the same breath as items: “Collect Mounts, equip Items, and explore the world.” On an incremental island, a mount is a time saver between packs, not a replacement for the harvest souls loop. Buy one too early and you delay the next gate. Buy one too late and you spend half the session jogging across empty cyan grass.
This page is how mounts usually drop in this genre, what to do in Soulborn’s launch-week HUD, and when to ignore the dragon in the shop.
When a mount is actually worth souls
Buy or equip a mount when all of these are true:
- Pet slots are filled with your best rarity (see pets).
- You can already kill the current pack quickly.
- The next cluster is far enough that walking wastes real time — mesa hops, island length, or a world lobby.
- The mount price is less than 10–15 minutes of your current souls per minute.
If any of those fail, keep farming. A slow account with a flying mount is still a slow account.
How mounts drop
Expect some mix of these, because the pass board and description both scream “collection sim”:
- Shop purchase with souls or a secondary ticket
- Gacha beside pet rolls (do not confuse the two banners)
- Island drop from a boss dummy or a rare NPC
- Index / achievement after you harvest enough unique enemies
- Limited event during the first content patch — watch updates
Until we see a dedicated mount banner, assume the shop and the island drop table share the pool. Hover the item. If the tooltip says walk speed, fly, or jump, it is a mount. If it says damage or swords, it is a pet or a weapon item.
Equip rules
Most Roblox anime sims let you equip one mount at a time. Equip the fastest you own for farming, not the rarest. A common speed mount beats a legendary slow dragon if the dragon is just a lobby flex.
Dismount inside a pack if the mount hitbox yanks you out of melee. Pets need you planted. Mount for the commute, hop off for the harvest.
Dragons, clouds, and lookalikes
Key art and the logo lean purple-pink. Trailer footage shows a grounded starter island, so flight may be gated. Do not jump off a mesa expecting a hoverboard you have not unlocked. If you fall, just walk back — deaths in this genre usually cost time, not items, but launch-week bugs happen.
Do not spend Robux on a mount pass unless one appears. The current for-sale list is Fast Roll, Fast Pet Attack, Fast Soul, 2x Drops, 2x Pet Sword, Auto System, +1 Gacha Roll, 2x XP, +50% Souls, and VIP. None of those is a mount. Speed is supposed to come from in-game collection.
Mounts versus VIP
VIP at 199 Robux often includes a speed bonus in anime sims. If Soulborn’s VIP tooltip lists walk speed, VIP can replace an early mount. Read the live tooltip, then the game pass planner. Do not buy both “just in case.”
After you own one
Use it to:
- Rotate between two packs while one respawns
- Reach mesa NPCs without jumping puzzles
- Cross the lobby to the gacha and back without losing potion time
Do not use it to tour the map for screenshots during a potion. Potions print souls. Mounts only if they get you back to the pack faster.
When a better mount drops, sell or store the old one if the UI allows. Keep one fast farm mount even if a new limited looks cooler. Cool does not raise souls per minute.
If a mount quest wants you to evolve first, do the hero evolve node that is actually on the critical path, then come back. Side quests that gate cosmetics can wait until the next island is paid.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for launch-week Anime Soulborn questions.
Do I need a mount on the first island?
Usually no. Packs are close. Buy one when travel time starts eating harvest time.
Is there a mount game pass?
Not on the current for-sale list. Speed, if any, may hide inside VIP — read the tooltip.
Should I roll the mount banner with pet tickets?
Only if the UI says those tickets are shared. Never dump pet tickets into a cosmetic banner by accident.
Does a flying mount increase damage?
Not by default. It increases how fast you reach the next pack.
